This 2012 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is a limited Centennial Edition model that was produced to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Chevrolet; I’ve owned this car for the past 28 months having purchased it from a local friend who owned it for two years prior to that. The odometer shows only 15,827 miles—the car has never seen snow and very limited time in rain. It has been stored in a climate-controlled garage since it made the journey up from Knoxville, TN.

It’s powered by the original, un-molested supercharged 6.2-liter LS9 factory rated at 638 horsepower and 604 lb-ft of torque paired with a six-speed manual gearbox. The carbon-fiber body is finished in Carbon Flash Metallic over Ebony leather and microsuede. Additional original equipment includes xenon headlights, an exposed carbon-fiber roof, a clear engine cover, and polished quad exhaust outlets. The front splitter and side skirts are the original carbon fiber pieces. The front splitter has the usual scuffs from kissing parking stops. The car has been lowered about 1.5” for that perfect sinister look.

The Satin Black-finished born-with 19″ and 20″ multi-spoke lightweight alloy wheels feature red accent stripes and Centennial Special Edition center caps, and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup tires. Brakes are the original Brembo ceramic-composite discs with red painted calipers.

The car is equipped with Magnetic Ride Control; a new MRC controller was sent to Jim Mero for reprogramming which did an amazing job of smoothing out the ride in Tour mode. The original MRC controller is included with the car.

A few modifications were made by previous owners which include:

· Full paint correction with entire body covered in paint protection film (PPF) and ceramic coated (2023)

· Lowered approximately 1.5”

· Reprogrammed Magnetic Ride Control controller

· Morimoto headlamps with interior color matched to the Carbon Flash Metallic paint

· Smoked front and rear side turn lenses

· Morimoto taillights

· MDW short throw shifter using the original suede boot

· Supercharger lid and cover painted red

· Foot switch to open the muffler bypass valves

· Aftermarket red ZR1 badges on front fenders and rear fascia

· Corsa exhaust mid pipe with rear cat delete

· Pioneer head unit with touch screen, Apple Car Play and backup camera

· Sub Woofer

The cabin houses power-adjustable bucket seats upholstered in Ebony leather with microsuede inserts, “100” headrest logos, and red stitching that extends to the dashboard, center console, and door panels. The three-spoke microsuede-wrapped steering wheel has a Centennial Special Edition logo and frames a 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, boost, and fuel level. The car was optioned with the 3ZR Premium Equipment Group, which added heated seats with position memory settings for the driver along with steering wheel audio controls, a Bose sound system, and navigation. Additional amenities include Keyless Access (three fobs will be included), push-button start, a head-up display, cruise control, and dual-zone automatic climate control. The leather on the dashboard was professionally restored to fix the common delamination issue.

The window sticker lists initial delivery to Bob Taylor Chevrolet in Naples, FL. The car made its way up to Minocqua, WI for its original purchase. It then went to Ft. Meyers, FL, then to Knoxville, TN and eventually to Avon, OH.

This C6 ZR1 is now offered with a window sticker, the owner’s manual set, three key fobs, a car cover, spare and removed parts, a damage-free Carfax report, and a clean Ohio title in my name.

I’ve enjoyed driving this car, but I’m really a classic muscle car guy so it’s time to move it on to someone who will truly enjoy everything it has to offer.
